Commercial Recycling Service
The City's contractor, Duncan Disposal, offers commercial recycling service to Southlake businesses. For information about schedules, setting up service and what is recyclable, read below.

- Rate Increase Effective October 1, 2009: Starting October 1, 2009, monthly commercial solid waste and recycling rates will increase 8.2%. Click here to view the adjusted rate schedule. The fee increase was approved by the City Council in 2008 as part of Duncan Disposal's contract review. Please keep in mind that each Southlake business has a separate service contract with Duncan for garbage collection; billing for commercial services is not handled through the City. Recycling Basics
- What are the rates for commercial recycling service?
Rates are based on the size of container and the frequency of pick-ups. To view the rate schedule, please click here and scroll to page 2. - How do I set up new service?
If you would like to set up recycling service through Duncan Disposal, please call their customer service number at 817-317-2424. - What type of container is used?
Duncan Disposal offers 6yd or 8yd dumpsters. Per City Code, these dumpsters must be placed behind enclosures. For more information about enclosure design guidelines, click here. - What can I recycle?
Please click here to read a current list of allowed recyclables. - Do I need to sort my recyclables?
Recyclable materials can be placed loose in the dumpster and do not need to be sorted by material type (this includes newspapers, magazines and household paper). The materials will be sorted by Duncan Disposal at their recycling facility. - Is there any special preparation of recyclables required?
Please make sure that all bottles, jars and cans are rinsed and lids are removed before putting them into the recycling bin.
